Why is an X-ray review necessary?
When scoliosis patients takes an X-ray (radiograph), they will get a radiology report. Because the focus of the report is diagnosis of pathology, it does not provide the type of analysis required for scoliosis specific exercise prescription.
Our X-ray review is specifically designed for scoliosis rehabilitation. Other than Cobb angle(s), curve apices, vertebral balances, etc., we also analyse and classify the images according to the Augmented Lehnert-Schroth Classifications – the basis for individualised Physiotherapeutic Scoliosis Specific Exercises (PSSE) and bracing prescription of the Schroth Therapy – the most studied and evidence-based conservative management system for idiopathic scoliosis.
We welcome patients’ submission (email us at [email protected]) of their X-ray films. We will respond by email to tell you whether the films are of quality standard required for a scoliosis specific X-ray review. If the films are satisfactory, we will send you a payment link. Upon payment, we will send the review by email to your email address within 3 working days.
Please note the detail of the X-ray review is limited by the quality of radiographs submitted. We will give you a credit or refund if your films are not of sufficient quality for the review.
